AML founded in 1992 was one of the first companies in the world to be formed to focus on the commercialisation and exploitation of the exciting new high tech frontiers technology of Microengineering, Microsystems, MEMS or as it is now known Micro & Nano Technology (MNT). After a slow start associated with the introduction of all new such disruptive technologies, the technology and market is now maturing rapidly with more and more commercial activity. In tune with this AML is also ramping up its activities and is expanding. The vacancies below provide a fantastic opportunity to become involved in this exciting, high growth, important technology of MNT, which is already affecting every aspect of our lives. When AML was formed its initial activities were the design & manufacture of specialised, custom MNT chip devices. However in the past few years it has refocused on the area of Wafer Bonding, which is a strategic process used in the manufacture of MNT devices (and Microelectronics e.g. new generation LEDs) and now provides equipment & machines that perform the various wafer bonding processes. AML also importantly develops new wafer bonding processes, now aided by a recent award from the new DTI MNT initiative AML’s ‘BONDCENTRE’ has been identified as the UK node for expertise and services in this area. As well as new bonding processes a wafer bonding service is also provided. All of AML’s products and services are provided to customers all over the globe from the USA to Australia and the Far East. AML is located in pleasant rural surroundings in Oxfordshire.
