Could you keep the whole airport running smoothly? It’s no easy task. Each one a national asset, an airport is like a small city - and every year some 111 million people pass through our Southern airports. But aside from customers, there are other stakeholders to consider, from retailers and security teams to airline staff. That’s why everything has to run like clockwork - and by ‘everything’ we mean baggage handling equipment, flight information screens, technology like iris recognition, as well as H&V systems, electrical systems, escalators and lifts. We have a culture of engineering excellence. Prevention rather than cure is our maxim. And a heavy investment has been made in training. Now we need leaders who will relish the chance to maintain an airport infrastructure or plan for its future.
