Cegelec (OLD)

Cegelec was created in 2001 from the Alstom Contracting business as a result of a management buyout and is now a leading provider of contracting services right across the industrial spectrum. Globally Cegelec has over 27,000 people and now operates in 31 countries. The Scottish Power and Norweb contracting businesses were acquired by the Group in 2000 and these businesses now form the cornerstone of Cegelec’s growing UK operations. Cegelec now has customers throughout the UK, although the main concentration of its customer base is within the footprints of the former regional electricity businesses of Scottish Power, Manweb and Norweb.
