Cummins Darlington Engine Plant

Cummins is a world leader in the design and manufacture of Diesel Engines. The Darlington plant supplies engines in the mid-power range to over 200 different customers in 40 countries. These engines are used in Automotive, Industrial, Marine, Power Generation, Mining, and Construction and Rail applications. The Darlington Worldwide Technical Centre leads new engine platform design and development, from concept to production. Established in 1965, the factory has over 250,000 sq ft, has won the Queen’s Award for Exports three times and holds the Investor in People certificate. Its vision for the future is targeted at five key elements: competitive pricing, shorter lead times, reliable delivery, quality product and responsive, flexible and easy to deal with as a supplier.
