Ford Australia Product Development is the 'centre of excellence' for the Asia Pacific and Africa region. It is responsible for full vehicle design of the 'Falcon' and 'Territory' platforms. It is also involved in the design and engineering of global vehicle architectures and is located in Melbourne, Victoria. Ford Australia's Virtual Engineering team is a key contributor in the development of Ford global design processes - including an innovative 'concurrent engineering' approach to design and analysis. The Virtual Engineering group combines CAD, simulation, and attribute development into one integrated team.
