Jab Design is an international award-winning product design consultancy. We work with manufacturers, innovators and entrepreneurs nationwide to develop commercially-successful new products, using state-of-the-art digital design tools. Jab Design has 9 staff and operates using SolidWorks 3D CAD software to deliver our projects using "big company" quality systems. Our in-house skills include mechanical engineering, design visualisation, concept development, detail design, design for manufacture, finite element analysis and supply chain sourcing. Jonathan Butters is the principal consultant and is an experienced mechanical engineer, product development specialist, and has engaged in design teaching at all levels. The design team has experience in medical devices, laboratory automation, consumables design, lighting, furniture, electronics enclosures, domestic security and timber products. Rapid prototyping and manufacturing sourcing (UK, Europe and China) are key elements in our service. Jab Design offers more than just product styling and visual flair. We engage with challenging technical and engineering issues as well as strategic manufacturing and business elements.
