Police Information Technology Organisation (PITO)

PITO's vision is to be a trusted and valued partner in the delivery and operation of information and communication solutions to meet the needs of the police service and its partners and stakeholders. PITO works closely with our partners to provide information technology and communication systems to the police service and criminal justice organisations in the UK. We also have a role in getting best value for the police service on the goods and services they buy. This is done through setting up collective procurement arrangements. PITO is a government agency, or Non-Departmental Public Body (NDPB), funded by the grant-in-aid and by charges for the services we provide.
