These companies employ over 1000 people and are part of the HUTCHINSON industrial division with a turnover in excess of £150 million pounds. They design and manufacture vibration and shock isolation systems in high performance elastomers, all metal mountings using stainless steel resilient cushions and cable mounts. Sheet metal trays, bases, racking systems and associated hardware for installing electronics and avionics equipment form a large part of the BARRY CONTROLS portfolio. In addition, the control panel division of STOP-CHOC design and manufacture cockpit illuminated control panels in aluminium and acrylic using filament lamp, LED and electroluminescent light source technology. The companies operate two manufacturing plants, one in Slough the other in Hersham covering a combined area of about 6000 sq. mtrs. Both employ a well established and skilled workforce.
