Keymat Technology Ltd. was formed in March 1986 as a private UK registered company. It is headquartered in its own freehold premises, west of London, just four miles north of Heathrow Airport. The company’s production division ‘Storm Manufacturing’ is based in Maldon, on England’s east coast and its North American sales division is located just outside Chicago in Oak Brook, Illinois The company’s purpose:- To develop, manufacture and market a range of rugged and responsive data entry devices for use in a wide range of industrial and public applications. Keymat Technology was initially funded by the founder shareholders. Venture Capital funding was subsequently provided through Hambros Bank. The company's founding Directors are Peter Ward (Managing) and Peter Jarvis (Marketing) who, together with Hambros (now Investec Bank (UK) Limited), are the company’s major shareholders. On 1st October 2004 Keymat Technology changed its trading name to Storm Interface. Keymat Technology is an ISO 9001 Certified Company.
