An exciting career opportunity has arisen for a motivated Electrical Engineer within the Bar Organisation at Rotherham.


The position is based at the Thrybergh Mill, which produces approximately 510kt of engineering bar and coil per annum in a variety of sizes, qualities, sections and lengths to both UK and International markets that are both highly technical and competitive in nature.


Reporting to the Lead Electrical Engineer for T.C.M the Electrical Section Engineer will be accountable for all Electrical Engineering activities for a specific area, they will manage Team Leader(s) and external contractor resource/company’s as required liaising with other internal departments and external specialists to achieve the Mill objectives and Annual Plan.


As Electrical Section Engineer you must be capable of resolving complex problems of an Electrical/PLC/Control nature and a working knowledge of other disciplines particularly Instrumentation is preferable. You should be from a steelmaking, re-rolling, heat treatment or similar environment, however candidates demonstrating equivalent experience in similar industrial backgrounds will be considered. You will have had experience of working within a similar manufacturing environment and will be able to demonstrate detailed expertise in the field of Electrical/Control Engineering.


You will be educated to degree level (preferred), however candidates with a proven track record and suitable experience whom are qualified to HNC level or equivalent within the discipline will be considered.


The working pattern for this role is days with an element of weekend working to satisfy operational demands.
