I am looking to place an Associate level Chartered Structural Engineer in a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy’s Newcastle office, to operate as a team lead This is an excellent opportunity for someone already operating at Principal/Principal level and looking for access to a range of new projects. Alternatively, this opportunity would also suit a current Associate  looking to step into an Associate Director post. The firm operates across the UK, Middle-East and Australia, with project valuing in the hundreds of millions of pounds.

The Work
Structural projects of note that the firm has completed include mixed-use developments at Imperial Wharf, Ebbsfleet Garden City, Tees Barrage International White-Water Course (Olympics), Lindisfarne Castle, Durham Cathedral, other World Heritage Sites and multiple high-end hotels for multiple well-known chains. 

About You
You will be a Chartered Structural Engineer with extensive experience of leading teams of engineers/technicians, working with clients and overseeing multidisciplinary projects from end to end. You will be confident in your technical design abilities and capable of instructing more junior engineers where necessary as well as managing existing / new client relationships. The firm is busy and growing, and you will play a key role in the future of the Structural team.

Job Requirements
  • Chartership with either IStructE or ICE
  • Relevant education in Structural Engineering
  • Relevant software experience (Autodesk / Tekla / similar)
  • Design using steel, RC, masonry, timber
  • Experience of high-rise, education, commercial, industrial
