The successful candidate would coordinate all aspects of Customer Liaison in our subcontract, precision engineering SME. We deal in small batch, high precision, high quality work which usually has a limited lead time. We have no product of our own and rely on return work from our customers.
Due to the sometimes challenging lead times the candidate would, from time to time, have to have a flexible approach to working hours.
We specialize in multiaxis CNC milling but we also have CNC mill-turn capability. We provide a subcontract finishing service if the customer requires this for their machined parts, the candidate would have to coordinate this service for the customer.
The role would involve working with existing customers but also involve seeking new customers. You would be the first and last point of contact for the customer. The role would involve quoting on work, liaising with suppliers and liaising with the shop floor staff to ensure the customer recieved the service they require.
The role would require travel to exisiting and potential customers.
The role would suit an outgoing, eloquent person who was enthusiastic and ambitious. Someone who liked variety and was self motivated.
It would be a challenging role, but it could be one that could lead to a greater management position.
A knowledge of CNC milling and turning is desirable. Experience of quoting and problem solving is important. The ability to learn and respond quickly is vital.
This role might suit someone with CNC shop floor experience looking for a new and challenging management role.
