Role Information:

  • The Sales Engineer will be responsible for selling technical equipment used to control manufacturing processes which in turn reduce waste and increase productivity and customer satisfaction
  • Value added sales process requiring technical ability and consultative skills
  • Field based position requiring you to work from a regional office 2 days per week where you will be able to learn about different product innovations and successful sales techniques
  • Selling directly to end users or systems integrators, rather than selling via distribution
  • Working in a team across the UK who can support you in your geographical region
  • Demonstrating state of the art equipment in order to solve customer problems
  • Technical sales engineering role

Requirements:

YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING

  • A higher level qualification or equivalent in any subject
  • Consultative approach
  • Assertive style and unafraid of asking for the order
  • Able to understand structures of organisations in order to maximise selling opportunities
  • Graduate calibre
  • Sales experience preferred, but NOT essential
  • Able to work from a regional office 2 days per week and book your own appointments
  • During the rest of the week you will be visiting customer premises where you can demonstrate the equipment

  • Hunger and desire to succeed in a sales environment
  • Able to pick up technical products quickly
  • Able to problem solve and provide solutions to customers
  • Ability to plan effectively and deal with high profile accounts
  • Disciplined approach to sales engineering
  • Able to represent the company professionally at all times
  • Either a science, mechanical, electrical or electronic background or hands on engineering experience from the Army, Navy, RAF or as an apprentice
