The requirement is for an experienced mechanical design engineer to join the central new product design team. The role will report to the Product Innovation Director and carries responsibility for the mechanical design of the systems and mechanisms that form the operating core of all major new products. The design environment is highly automated with full 3D CAD and associated printing and prototyping facilities.
Ideal candidates will be degree or equivalent qualified in mechanical engineering with a strong design bias particularly with regard to overall system design. They will have had experience of working within, and contributing to, multi-disciplinary design teams and should have breadth of experience including trials and production introduction. They will also have had a degree of market or customer contact which allows them to optimise the functionality, ease of use and market acceptability of their designs.
