Maintenance Technician - West London
Our client whom are a Leading Train Operator in the UK require a number of electrical biased Maintenance Technician's to carry out scheduled & reactive maintenance to the allocated EMU rolling stock.
With supervision you will undertake maintenance and repair of the allocated rolling stock to meet the requirements of the production plan. Working on a day's basis, you will be responsible for electrical and mechanical maintenance of modern & mid-life rolling stock. Maintenance activities can be broken down into routine electrical and mechanical service checks to ensure train safety through to major overhaul.
You will be working on EMU rolling stock & maintaining systems including wheels, driver controls, air conditioning, lighting, heating & toilets. Also you will be responsible for fault diagnostic & testing on air, fuel & oil systems identifying problems with the inlet and exhausts. You will also carry out maintenance to electric traction systems which includes heavy repairs to bogies, DC traction motors and air brake systems.
Salary & Package
£ 32,475 p/a - (days based)

Candidates will ideally come from a rail background however candidates from other transferable industries such as forces, industrial, & other heavy engineering will be considered.
- You must posses relevant engineering qualifications e.g. NVQ3, 4 year apprenticeship, City & Guilds etc.
- You MUST be electrically biased.
- You MUST have experience carrying out laptop diagnostics
You must be capable of passing a stringent drugs, alcohol & medical screening. You must also be eligible to live and work in the UK.
