Our client is dedicated to the assembly of small construction machines, typically used on building and construction sites - Backhoe Loaders, Small Wheel Loaders, Mini Hydraulic Excavators and Compact Wheel Loaders.

Job Profile:

Responsible for assisting and gaining experience in design, development, and maintenance of new and existing products and components.



Essential Skills Experience and Qualifications:

You must be educated to degree level in an Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.



You must have Design experience on Pro engineer.



Strong analytical skills.



Machine engineering design experience.



Computer literate with Pro-E CAD engineering skills



Experience in designing structural fabrications & non-metallic components.



Knowledge and experience of problem solving analysis.



Experience of Off highway equipment or other heavy machinery



Ability to self direct but also work effectively in a diverse team environment.



Job Description:

Directing the work of technicians.



Conceive product design concepts.



Prepare engineering drawings.



Complete engineering design calculations, analysis, and computer simulation.



The Engineer will have a varied and exciting role creating new designs from concept through to detailed design ensuring the parts are validated and meet the functional requirements.



The candidate will be responsible for the production release of the parts and expected to work with suppliers to ensure the parts can be manufactured and meet the cost and quality targets.



The successful candidate will need to be flexible and be able to work on multiple areas of the machine i.e. structural fabrications, non-metallic components & cab interior.



Critical to the success of the role will be an enthusiastic attitude showing the initiative to solve engineering problems and be able to work to tight deadlines.



As part of this role, communication with other design centres will be required for worldwide design collaboration.





Salary/Rate:

Up to £31 per hour on a limited company basis, although this will only be for experienced Pro E designers with experiencing of designing off highway or heavy mechanical machinery.
