Are you an ambitious and proven Finance Analyst looking for a new opportunity to lead and support the UK Finance IT systems?

Job Title: Finance Systems Analyst

Salary: Circa £45,000 depending on experience

Location: Stevenage (We may be able to offer a relocation package for this role)

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

Please note: This is a 2 year fixed term contract

The opportunity:

Reporting into the Finance Systems Manager you will be collaborating with both finance and non-finance managers across the business to ensure the systems are fit for purpose with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, reliability, timeliness and ease of use. This role will offer you the chance to make a difference by keeping a continual eye on opportunities for improvement to evolve the systems tools to meet the growing needs of the organisation.

Embedded within the finance team you will encourage more efficient business working practices to capitalise upon existing and new systems via a change management process. You will contribute your expertise and represent Finance in companywide system developments and at all UK control boards, to ensure business effectiveness and efficiencies are met and support in the implementation of finance systems evolutions from requirements gathering to acceptance testing.

Your expertise will be recognised as you will be the reference point for technical advice on finance systems issues to senior Finance or other stakeholders accessing financial data. You will also co-ordinate and advise senior staff on effective finance systems training for the UK & Eire based Finance staff.

What we're looking for from you:
  • Passionate about problem analysis and deriving a solution
  • A broad understanding of company IT systems and the impacts on the employee community
  • ERP and Financial Systems management skills - An understanding of SAP particularly within FI/CO modules is essential, with familiarity of SAP BW being advantageous
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Familiarity with Accounting Practices, with a Finance function background
  • Ability to communicate effectively across many areas of the company
  • A proactive mind-set to ensure resolution and completion of tasks
