Reporting into the Chief Engineer and with operational reporting lines into the Head of New Business, you'll be a key player in one of the largest and most exciting programmes within Defence. Job Title: Head of Future Engineering & International Co-ordination - FCAS
Salary: Circa £75,000 depending on experience + car allowanceLocation: Bristol / Bolton / Stevenage (We may be able to offer a relocation package for this role)
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are handled by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.
The opportunity:The Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP) is a key cornerstone of FCAS, which offers a unique opportunity to influence the design of the system by considering the integration and employment of effects. The FCAS portfolio consists of various projects and contracts, and the sector is transitioning from Concept and Assessment to Design & Development. This presents a significant challenge to both Deliver Today and Secure Tomorrow.
MBDA UK is looking for a dedicated individual to lead the team in ensuring the delivery of a coherent technical scope for the next five years of the programme (D&D Phase). The focus is on Secure Tomorrow, ensuring alignment with UK Freedom of Modification/Action needs, while balancing the MBDA Group product strategy. The successful candidate will work with internal teams and UK Customer partners to define, cost, and deliver the tri-lateral next phase technical scope.
