This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station's vast network of rooms.

The role

As a Layout and Access Coordinator, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Being part of the MEH Alliance working on Hinkley Point C is a chance to be involved in a major project with national significance. As a Layout and Access Coordinator, you report to the Access and Layout Engineer and will play a crucial role in managing and supporting the work access route requirements across site to support the MEH Alliance construction programme

Day-to-day, you'll ensure the Access & Layout signage requirements are installed as per the Building classification and Liaise with MEH Logistics team to get the signage installed.

  • Liaise with Site Ops team to ensure Building access routes are always available. Assess alternative access routes, if current route is blocked due to site works.
  • Ensure the access / egress routes are not compromised. Manage and keep the access route register up to date. Raise any concerns or issues with Building leads
  • Work along with MEH Temporary Works & Access team to co-ordinate access requirements that suits all building occupants
  • Ensure all site activities are undertaken safely and responsibly, and in accordance with the CDM Regulations
  • Create safe access routes for pedestrian and material deliveries to buildings.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week, and is based on site at the Hinkley Point C Power Station in Somerset.

Essential experience of the Layout and Access Coordinator

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Confident use of IT and MS Office Software
  • Previous Layout and Access experience is not a necessity however excellent coordination skills are required

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
