Salary: Circa £50,000 depending on experience

The opportunity:

The Networks Operation team is a strong and specialised group of knowledgeable and experienced professionals who work together to support the core network functionality into MBDA UK. As the Network Administrator, you will be reporting directly into the Network Service Specialist for MBDA UK and will provide centralised administration into the network operations, network security and network DevOp's functions.

We are looking for a confident and driven self-starter who is not afraid to bring fresh, new and innovative ideas into the team.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in an ITIL centric environment and have good understanding of Network Telecommunications and ICT products and services.

What we're looking for from you:

Areas of responsibility:

  • Incident and Request queue management – directing tasks to the correct service role.
  • Certificate Management – collating expiry / renewal dates to ensure the Network certificates are maintained and renewed in a timely manner.
  • Asset record management to ensure no unintended end-of-life / end-of-support issues.
  • Firmware patching compliance monitoring / task raising.
  • Administration of the Egress OS File transfer solution

Desirable:

  • A positive attitude, capable of working in high pressure and challenging environments.
  • Excellent organisational skill.
  • Team player with the ability to motivate others.
  • Demonstrable ability and understanding of ITSM tools, generating service reports and interpreting data.
  • Defence or Public Sector Experience.

Required:

  • Security Clearance to SC level (but can start on BPSS)
  • Ability to travel both within the UK and Europe if required.
  • ITIL experience
