Salary: Circa £50k to £65K depending on experience

Dynamic (hybrid) working: Where possible, we will seek to accommodate a blended approach to on-site and remote working 2 to 3 days a week on site/2 to 3 days a week remotely. Given the security nature of the work and the need to work on air-gapped networks, you will occasionally be required to work on site for full weeks and sometimes weekends for production upgrades.

The opportunity:

Information Systems Engineering Delivery and Operations team are taking a transformative step to build in house skills and knowledge to improve our ability to delivering projects and implement enterprise application upgrades according to the group and national strategies.

There are three roles available where we require flexible Information Systems professionals that can provide a balance of existing expertise in one or more of our core application technologies of PTC's Windchill PLM and IBM's ELM whilst also having the skills and confidence to work on new solutions.

What we're looking for from you:

  • A broad level of technical information technology and information systems knowledge in a defence level environment covering application systems, databases, servers and desktop integration primarily for Windows based systems but with expectation to grow knowledge in other operating environments.
  • Existing technical and functional expertise for one or more of the following toolsets; PTC's Windchill PLM and IBM's ELM
  • Eligibility to hold DV clearance and experience of working on secret and above networks.
  • Experience of enterprise application lifecycle management of information systems including acquisition, testing, release and deployment, as well as appreciation operational needs.
  • Ability to coordinate resources from internal and external sources with a good level of technical competence to ensure solutions are created to the operational and security standards required for the defence industry.
  • Someone who can work locally and internationally to promote innovation and improvement.
  • Desirable to have experience of industry tools for Product Lifecycle Management, Engineering Lifecycle Management, Service Lifecycle Management and other engineering applications.
  • Experience working with Linux and Containerisation would be advantageous.
