We are the only company offering a rapid, low-cost speciality enzyme service from discovery phase through to global shipment of regulatory compliant enzymes.

Position

Due to our on-going commitment to expanding our manufacturing capabilities within our fermentation plant, we have an opportunity for a Process Technician who will be part of our highly motivated team.

Salary: £20,000 - £24,000 depending on experience + night shift allowance + bonus + substantial benefits

Location: Nantgarw, Cardiff

Hours: Working 4 x 12 hr night shifts (rolling week) Start time: 6:00 pm/Finish time: 6:00 am

(During training period – hours will be 4 x 12 hr day shift – 4 on/4 off rolling week)

Requirements

5 GCSEs A-C grade including English and Maths or equivalent or NVQ (L3) in Process Operations or Cert. in Process Technology (L3) is essential along with experience in safely operating and maintaining equipment such as fermenters, centrifuges, tanks, pumps and filters.

Recruitment Process

Stage 1

Stage 2

Video conference Interviews (via Microsoft Teams) will be scheduled for Wednesday 6th October 2021. You will need to allow up to 1 hour and you will be interviewed by our Plant Manager and HR Officer/Manager. We will explore your experience and personal qualities that are relative to the role.

Stage 3

This is the final stage of the process and you will be invited to Biocatalysts and have a tour of our facility - subject to Government Guidelines on Covid-19.

Applicants short listed for final will be sent the following:

  • Personality Profile Analysis (PPA) questionnaire – this helps us understand your working style. This questionnaire is not concerned with abilities but will help us to find out more about how you like to work. There are no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ answers or ‘good’ or ‘bad’ qualities to these questionnaires
  • General Intelligence Assessment (GIA) pre-test booklet – this test measures specific abilities such as word and numerical meaning

You will also need to provide evidence of your qualifications and eligibility to work in the UK.

Following the interview, we will be able to let you know whether or not you have been successful within 48 hours. It is only at this stage that references, subject to your approval, will be checked should an offer be made.

At the end of the selection process, you will be offered the opportunity to have feedback on the PPA & GIA assessments you completed
