Cargill is a Global leader in the provision of food, agricultural and risk management products and services. It is the second largest private company in the world with 158,000 employees in 66 countries and 2007 revenues in excess of $88 Billion – up 17% from 2006. Cargill’s phenomenal success is a reflection of its commitment to using its knowledge and experience to collaborate with customers to help them succeed. The GOSCE – Grain and Oilseed Supply Chain Europe business, is part of the Grain and Oilseed Supply Chain operations worldwide, originating, marketing, storing, transporting, processing and trading grains and oilseeds across Western and Eastern Europe. It originates rapeseed and sunflower seeds either for export to the Mediterranean basin or for Cargill processing units in the region (for example wet corn milling in Russia and Turkey). These operations, in turn, supply oil to the vegetable oil refiners, including other Cargill operations, and oilseed meals to farmers and compound feed manufacturers. Our Grain and Oilseeds crush plants, in collaboration with our oil refining plants, produce millions of tons of industrial, edible and biofuel oils annually and are a major contributor to the ongoing success of the business. The plant operations team delivers excellence in operations and engineering management of our plants throughout Europe and ensures that we generate the maximum return for our significant investments in capacity and technology.
