DTI

The Engineering Inspectorate within the DTI is responsible for the policy formulation, implementation, administration and enforcement of regulations that govern the quality, continuity and safety of the nation’s electricity supply. The Inspectorate’s remit also includes the conduct and reporting of all public inquiries, hearings and representation cases into the contested proposals of the gas and electricity supply industries in England and Wales.
