Job Title: Continuous Improvement/Process Engineer

Location: Ruabon

Salary: £20,000.00 - £25,000.00 per annum

Closing Date: 4.30pm on Friday 24th February 2017

The company is looking to appoint a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join their current CI team at the Ruabon site. As a member of the CI team the focus of this role will be leading improvement projects, controlling process changes & investigating process related issues to support manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Applying structured methodology to problem solving (e.g. DMAIC, 8D)
* Undertaking Root Cause Analysis (e.g. Fishbone, 5 Why) and develop Corrective Actions
* Working closely with other teams / departments to develop process improvements
* Supporting Value Stream Leaders to deliver business objectives & meet or exceed targets
* Controlling & validating process changes using appropriate tools (e.g. PPAP, Change Notes)
* Assisting in the development of standardised operating procedures
* Identifying, developing and implementing best practices across the plant
* To investigate flow/workplace organisation (e.g. plant layout, 5S) plant wide and make recommendations for improvement
* To be committed to a 5S method of working, ensuring a well organised, neat and tidy working environment
* To adhere at all times to Health & Safety / Environmental Statutory and Company Rules and Regulations

Experience and Background:

Requirements of Role:

* Formal qualification in an Engineering discipline or capable and willing to undertake such a qualification
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* High level of proficiency in MS Office
* Experience in the use of statistical tools (eg SPC, Minitab) would be desirable
* Experience within a manufacturing environment would be desirable

The Candidate:

* The successful candidate should ideally have a formal qualification in an Engineering discipline or be capable and willing to undertake such a qualification.
* They should have a high level of proficiency in MS Office, excellent oral and communication skills and experience in the use of statistical tools (e.g. SPC, Minitab) is also desirable.
* Experience of working within a manufacturing environment would be beneficial.
