- To oversee and manage the effective allocation of resources within the programming planning of contracts
- Maintaining and developing customer relationships and optimising sustainable financial contribution within set targets and in accordance with Regional targets and company policy, process and procedure.
- To comply with all HSQE systems
- Manage and develop individuals performance to ensure that works activities are carried out efficiently and to agreed programme and specification.
- Manage & comply with all HSQE requirements
- Profit & loss accountability of contacts
- Manage site operations to maximise operational effectiveness and efficiency at all times by understanding how a contract has been priced. Agree and review with the supervisor & foreman the gangs targets to maximise profitability.
- Quality Management and control of all contracts
- Efficient allocation of resources, plant staff and sub-contractors to ensure delivery of contracts.
- Work closely with internal and external supply to reduce delays and costs incurred through delivery patterns
- Effective relationships with the client - Agree a programme to completion with client and regularly provide updates to ensure a positive working relationship.
- Ensure daily material programme is placed as early as possible each day with appropriate persons to allow daily surfacing programmes to be planned efficiently.
- Identify and communicate the development needs of individuals and update the training plans via regular review sessions
- Communicate and implement all regional initiatives to deliver regional targets
- HSQE performance is within business & legislative requirements.
- Completion of contracts within estimated financial guidelines to return maximum profit

- Continuously review and improve methods to reduce materials and waste on site.

- Management Qualification – ILM / NEBS / NVQ4
- CSCS Qualification
- NEBOSH (desirable)
- Largely qualified by experience relating to industry standards and/or possess good Higher Education Achievement (HND/HNC Level)
- Managerial Experience – proven management experience in the aggregate, asphalts or Contracting industry
- Contracting Methods – knowledge of contracts methods and up to date knowledge of specifications and contracts
- Technical Level – demonstrate a high level of ability, advanced knowledge and techniques to pass on to others
