The Energy Portfolio Management (EPM) team provide software solutions to help Utility customers, throughout the EMEA region, carry out critical business functions like planning, simulation and forecasting, as well as commercial operations of their assets.

The Role:
Exciting opportunity to join a growing team with excellent opportunities for promotion and international travel and with a low staff turnover. You will be working with highly innovative products and services in a client-facing role.

This is a consultant level role, and the candidate will have been educated to at least degree level in an analytical subject and will have experience in business analysis / consulting / project management / pre-sales in customer-focused roles. They will be able to demonstrate how their efforts have directly resulted in client success. The role may require being based on client site and international travel.

Main accountabilities of the role involve:

• Provide energy market expertise by researching and remaining informed on electric and fuel markets, economic and technology trends, industry practices, regional developments and/or subject matter developments.
• Contribute to the development of the Reference Case
• Perform advisory consulting work and develop and deliver reports and presentations.
• Demonstrate market analysis and optimization solutions to clients to support sales.
• Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production efficiency and quality of the Reference Case and consulting reports.
• Cooperate and communicate effectively with the team to provide relevant information, assistance and technical support.
• Provide industry and market expertise to sell services and products.
• Contribute to sales and marketing activities including development of webcasts, material, thought leadership, client and conference presentations, etc.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge and Experience
• Degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Operational Research or related quantitative subject.
• Energy market, analytics, math modelling or consulting experience.

Skills / Working Style
• Motivated self-starter used to being self-managed.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills
• Proactive, results-oriented working style.
• Well organized and communicate clearly and convincingly with both clients and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to create convincing client presentations and proposals and address larger audiences describing complex topics in an easy to understand manner.
• Comfortable engaging convincingly with clients and capable of interacting productively at operational levels.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• At least 2 years experience in power industry or markets
• Advanced or Postgraduate degree
