The Company:
A global market-leading provider of infrastructure and software solutions to the energy industry.

The Energy Portfolio Management (EPM) team provides software solutions to help Utility customers, throughout the EMEA region, carry out critical business functions like planning, simulation and forecasting, as well as commercial operations of their assets.

The Role:
Exciting opportunity to join a growing team with excellent opportunities for promotion and a low staff turnover. You will be working with highly innovative products in a highly client-facing role focusing on the UK market.

This is a principal consultant level role, and you should have been educated to advanced degree level in an analytical subject with at least 10 years of experience in business analysis / consulting / advisory / regulatory roles, project management, pre-sales / sales in customer-focused roles, within the energy industry. You should be able to demonstrate how their efforts have directly resulted in client success.

Main Accountabilities
• Researching and documenting market requirements
• Translating these into product specifications that Development could use
• Conducting regular internal and external product status update meetings
• Building a strong network of connections within the market operator(s) and market participant community
• Attending and actively participating in market events and workshops
• Delivering consulting activities
• Directing the work of other consultants where required
• Delivering pre-sales activities to support the introduction of EPM products into new markets, including completing tender responses, taking part in vendor workshops, conducting prospect presentations and doing product demonstrations.
• Acting as the single point of contact for the EMEA region to the Global Product Manager

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Excellent existing understanding of the GB wholesale electricity market, in terms of market structure, Trading & Settlement code, market operations, solutions used to support these and typical business drivers and business processes of the market participants.
• Good understanding of the competitive landscape of market solutions vendors within GB.
• Solid understanding of IT and business model of software vendors, and the agile software development lifecycle.
• An appreciation of how IT solution procurement decisions are made by energy companies.
• Experience creating and delivering compelling presentations.
• Existing relationships with energy market participants especially in the UK market.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Previous experience with SaaS / cloud solutions
• Experience working in an international organization, potentially having been posted abroad for a period of time.
