The Company:
A global market-leading provider of infrastructure and software solutions to the energy industry.

The Energy Portfolio Management (EPM) team provide software solutions to help Utility customers, throughout the EMEA region, carry out critical business functions like planning, simulation and forecasting, as well as commercial operations of their assets.

The Role:
Exciting opportunity to join a growing team with excellent opportunities for promotion and international travel and with a low staff turnover. You will be working with highly innovative products and services in a client-facing role.

This is a consultant level role, and you should have been educated to advanced degree level in an analytical subject and will have had at least 2 years’ experience in business analysis / consulting / project management / pre-sales in customer-focused roles in the energy industry. You should also be able to demonstrate how their efforts have directly resulted in client success.

Main accountabilities of the role involve:
• Delivering billable consulting to energy market clients
• Attending and actively participating in market events and workshops
• Delivering pre-sales activities to support the introduction of EPM products into new markets, including completing tender responses, taking part in vendor workshops, conducting prospect presentations and doing product demonstrations.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Good working knowledge of the GB wholesale electricity market, in terms of market structure, Trading & Settlement code, market operations, solutions used to support these and typical business drivers and business processes of the market participants.
• Good understanding of IT and business model of software vendors.
• Existing relationships with energy market participants especially in the UK market

• Proactive, results-oriented working style.
• Well organized and communicate clearly and convincingly with both clients and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to create convincing client presentations and proposals and address larger audiences describing complex topics in an easy to understand manner.
• Comfortable engaging convincingly with clients and capable of interacting productively at operational levels.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Previous experience with SaaS / cloud solutions
• Experience working in an international organization, potentially having been posted abroad for a period of time.
