The Role:
Role Purpose:
Manage the Engineering Function safely, efficiently and effectively and to deliver the defined Business Objectives. Establish and maintain a high level of quality, accuracy and timeliness thresholds for all engineering deliverables.Understand the Client requirements and expectations and consistently deliver these through the engineering team members. Establish and enforce engineering delivery strategies that meet the arising challenges of project and company objectives.

Key Activities:
• The Stress engineer/FEA Engineer will be required to carry out defined calculations to determine the acceptability of a structural or mechanical component to a specified code/standard.
• The Stress / FEA Engineer will be able to present calculations and results in a manner suitable for auditing and approval
• They will undertake analysis tasks, particularly the design and analysis of mechanisms and structures.
• Lead discussions with internal and external customers and suppliers in order to ensure that programmes are delivered to specification, cost and time
• Write and check calculations and FE reports.

Essential experience, knowledge and skills:
• Calculations by the Stress / FEA Engineer should be prepared electronically therefore a good working knowledge of MathCad and Ansys is essential
• Ideally, the Stress Engineer should have experience of BS2573 parts 1 & 2
• Experience of workbench is preferred
• Must be a UK Passport holder
