Our client, one of the UK's most exciting start-up Automotive OEM’s currently has opportunities to join its burgeoning design team. Specifically, within the CAE NVH group.

This organisation has increased headcount from 0-2500 accross it's Chineese based operations in just 2.5 years, but also has a global footprint. The next step is to grow their UK based design capability from their newly formed UK base, where we are working closely to support the growth of the Vehicle Engineering (CAE) Team

This is a unique opportunity to join a futures organisation committed to the development and production of the (electric) vehicles of tomorrow.

The current requirement is for a CAE Engineer to lead the analytical analysis of squeak and rattle (S&R) at in close cooperation with the Interior and Exterior teams in China. Define methods, processes and procedures how to virtually access S&R during the development of mostly interior trim components.

Main Responsibilities:

* Responsible for squeak and rattle simulations
* Build FE-models and assemble subsystem FE-models for squeak and rattle
* Develop state of the art methods to assess the noise generated by trim panel relative movements at vehicle and component level
* Assess the risk of squeak or rattle using different type of loading conditions depending on available data and the state in which the development program is.
* Closely cooperate with the NVH team to improve and optimize the design with respect to squeak and rattle.
* Participate in cooperation with other companies and universities to improve the analysis capability within squeak and rattle.

Qualifications, skills and experience required:

* M.Sc. or higher education in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
* Good knowledge of current methods for assessing the squeak and rattle of interior trim panels using E-line or similar methods.
* Extensive and demonstrable experience in the field of acoustics, noise and vibration as well as squeak and rattle analysis.
* Experience form working with both metallic and composite structures
* Demonstrates high levels of personal motivation to join a start-up organisation and sees development opportunity in doing so, takes a proactive approach to self-development
