A Civil Designer is required to join the busy design department with our client, which designs and builds renewable projects including wind and solar farms, electrical substations, large battery storage scheme etc. This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving company ranked in the top 10 of the Sunday Times ‘Virgin Fast Track 100’ awards for 2013, 2014 & 2015.

This Civil Designer’s role will be to provide drawings and designs within the civil and structural departments and can range from involvement in designing and generating drawings and detailing for site layouts, buildings, structures, plans and elevations. This position would therefore be involved in most aspects of the civil/ structural requirements of the renewable and utility industries, and new and challenging designs/innovations/ideas are actively encouraged amongst individuals. The role is based at the Head Office near Milton Keynes but site visits to projects around the UK may be required as and where necessary.

The candidate should work placed experience in civil related design and full working knowledge of AutoDesk Revit, although some experience with AutoCAD is also recommended. Additional software usage, building regulations and other relevant standards knowledge, design experience and skills will be considered on a case by case basis, and use of Microsoft Office products Word and Excel would also be of benefit.
