To drive and accelerate the Company’s quality improvement programme to improve both internal and external quality



Key Responsibilities:

Product Introduction

* Active involvement in new product introduction & change control processes e.g. NPDI/PPAP.
* Support validation requirements.



Process Control and Capability

* Develop, introduce and ensure ownership and maintenance of process controls (initial and ongoing).
* Develop and introduce, where required, processes for measurement and improvement of gauge, machine and process capability – initial and ongoing.
* Contribute and participate in Material Review Boards.



Process Improvement

* Identify opportunities for improvement within the BMS and associated processes.
* Work with the relevant process owners to implement improvements and lead/co-ordinate these projects.
* Establish and/or take responsibility for various metrics, ensuring they meet agreed business targets.
* Lead and/or participate in 8D and other problem solving activities (internal, supplier and customer).
* Provide Quality technical support to all areas of the business and to customers and suppliers.
* Support companies internal audit programmes, undertaking audits as required.



Reporting and Co-ordination

* Develop and maintain performance reporting systems (databases, dashboards, reports, scorecards, roadmaps), ensuring data is collected at all levels to ensure drill-down ability to all relevant categories.
* Co-ordinate corrective action reports, ensuring effective and timely closure and appropriate visibility.
* Prepare customer documentation as required to verify product quality.
* Verify the conformity of product quality to agreed standards (i.e. through product audits) and issue Airworthiness Release documents. (Act as the CAA Approved Signatory for EASA Form 1).
* Authorise concessions.
* Ensure compliance with Customer & Regulatory quality requirements.
