Electronics Test Engineer – RF Comms

This is an immediate requirement for an Electronics Test Engineer or RF Test Engineer with experience of testing across RF, Digital and Analogue electronics.

A great opportunity has arisen for an Electronics Test Engineer to work for a leading Electronics Communications design company in the Basingstoke area. This Electronics testing role will be working on a number of new radio designs products being developed for both the UK and international markets.



Responsibilities for this Test Engineer role

- Responsible for implementing cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting equipment and systems leveraging pre-existing designs
- Performs engineering RF/analog/digital design and measurement tasks as well as operational tests and fault isolation on radio systems
- Uses a variety of test and measurement equipment to evaluate radio equipment performance
- Create test strategies and specifications for new and revised assemblies
- Prepare test and diagnostic software, design test fixtures, complete test procedures for existing products
- Debug optimize test software using National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand
- Document test hardware and software using computer based tools

Requirements for this Test Engineer role

- Ability to quickly analyze and debug software and related hardware issues
- Experience with automation systems including electronic test
- Measurement of key performance parameters using analyzers, generators, oscilloscopes, and meters
- Working knowledge of the fundamentals of In-Circuit Test (ICT), functional board level testing, unit and system level testing, coverage analysis
- NI LabVIEW & TestStand experience
- Must be a self starter, and able to work successfully with minimal supervision


Due to the nature of the work at this site, applicants must be capable of achieving SC level UK security clearance. Current clearance is not a requirement.
