ITEA Manager – C4I / Comms

This is an immediate requirement for an ITEA or Systems Integration Manager with experience of delivering electronic systems onto military platforms.

A great opportunity has arisen for a Systems Engineering Manager to work for a leading Engineering company in the South Wales area. This ITEA Manager role will be working on the development of huge new communication programme being developed for the UK defence sector.

The ideal candidate will have experience of leading teams of Engineers involved in designing how new equipment will be mounted across various platforms.

Responsibilities for this Systems Integration Manager role

- Confirming the new equipment can be installed into legacy platform fits with minimum impact to the existing installation kits (cabling, power, vehicle mounts)
- Establishing platform baselines
- Concept Installation Designs
- Developing installation requirements and cable specifications for a set of generic platform fits
- Support the MoD’s selected Platform integrator to develop detailed designs for 10 First of Type Platforms to be used in a Field Trial
- Work with supplier of new vehicle platforms to investigate the integration options between the EvO and the Platform processing and networking infrastructure

Requirements for this Systems Integration Manager role

- Proven track record of large scale Platform Integration primarily in land vehicles but also with air and maritime platforms
- Able to develop and lead a multidiscipline team within an Agile Methodology
- Able to demonstrate considerable experience in developing and shaping solutions in a business development environment
- Able to develop innovative solutions and alternative approaches to problems
- Extensive experience of the how the UK MoD operates, its ways of working, processes, policy and strategies.
- A thorough understanding and extensive experience of working within the UK MoD
- Sound understanding and experience of project lifecycles and UK MoD’s acquisition approaches
- Able to demonstrate experience of major subcontract and supplier management


Due to the nature of the work at this site, applicants must be capable of achieving SC level UK security clearance. Current clearance is not a requirement.
