Our client, an exciting start-up Automotive OEM involved in the huge growth market of electric & autonomous vehicles has an opportunity for a CFD/Thermal Engineer to join its specialist engineering team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work for an engineering led organisation on brand new vehicle platforms.

This organisation has increased headcount from 0-2500 across it's Chinese based operations in just 2.5 years, but has a global footprint.

The next step is the development of a specialist technical centre for Engineering and CAE based in the Oxfordshire area, from here specialist engineering services will be provided supporting design teams internationally.

This is a unique opportunity to join a futures organisation committed to the development and production of the (electric) vehicles of tomorrow.

Role Overview:

Plan and perform analytical analysis of thermal management in close cooperation with the corresponding international teams. Define methods, processes and procedures how to virtually access thermal management during the development of mostly interior components.

Main Responsibilities:

* Plan and perform complete thermal management CFD simulations for electric cars.
* Develop state of the art methods and continuously update current methods within thermal simulations for electric cars to improve the analysis capability and assure god quality of results.
* Analyse simulation results, recommend design improvements and present the results to the internal customers.
* Make sure there are good relations with colleagues at other offices in the world.
* Closely work together with the CFD team internationally to improve and optimise the thermal management
* Ensure the correlation between simulated results and corresponding measured data.
* Keep up to date on simulation development capabilities within thermal simulations for electric cars.

Qualifications, skills and experience required:

* Ideally M.Sc. or higher education within fluid dynamics and extensive experience of using CFD within automotive industry.
* Extensive and demonstrable experience in the field of climate, electronic cooling and water management simulations.
* Previous experience of 3D thermal modelling (convection, radiation and conduction)
* Demonstrates high levels of personal motivation to join a start-up organisation and sees development opportunity in doing so, takes a proactive approach to self-development

* The ability to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality in all aspects of work
