The role will involve working for a manufacturing company based in chandler’s Ford to assist with quality assurance, quality control and some health and safety matters. They would like someone who has the previous experience within a similar role but training will be given where required.

The key duties on the role –

* Having a knowledge of quality system auditing- this involves making sure internal auditing is carried out in compliance with audits schedules and all reports are generated, this information should be recorded in a timely manner
* First off Inspection- making sure all manufactured parts are inspected and recorded, adjustments are made to comply with specifications and are relayed to the operator, run inspection of middle and end batch items from a production run are checked.
* Working on engineering drawings and ability to measure out parts using measuring tools this will involve Calibration / Validation of equipment this includes making sure the equipment is compliant to the current equipment in use, also to make sure equipment is disposed of in a suitable manner when it becomes beyond economic repair.
* Understanding of stock control and stock checking- working within goods inward and stores cover when required this will include maintaining standards of tidiness in the stores department, make any suggestions for improvements to the departments, complete purchase orders and file in system.
* A knowledge of health and safety regulations and any improvements that could be made within in the business.
* Being involved with supplier assessments and patrol inspections on site- this includes possible visits to suppliers and records of vendors are maintained, liaise with purchasing department on matters pertaining to vendors /suppliers.
* Any other duties agreed with Quality Manager to help other departments

This person will be expected to have a hands on approach, have good report writing skills with good attention to detail, you will be working closely with the quality manager so someone who gets on well with people from all levels would be desirable.

Expected working hours are 08.00 – 16.30 with 45 minutes lunch, Mon – Fri

20 days initial holiday plus Bank Holidays.

Driving licence would be useful.
