Main Duties and Responsibilities:



* The post holder will provide leadership and direction to their team by sharing knowledge and expertise gained internally and from previous employment.
* To ensure that the Security department’s, methodology maximises efficiencies in operational areas, consistently evaluating its suitability against current systems and climate.
* Maximise available resource and explore new markets with a focus on developing a larger client base.
* Managing relevant staff in accordance with SIA legislation.
* Develop profit improvement plans, monitor financial performance and ensure financial targets are achieved.
* Work with the Business Development and Marketing teams to identify and secure new business.
* Be commercially aware and lead on change programmes to improve business performance in their areas.
* Ensure service standards and are delivered in a way that is consistent with the Company’s best interests, business objectives and Company values.
* Explore new markets to identify new and develop existing services, in a way that is beneficial to new and existing clients.
* Ensure all necessary assets, stocks and supplies are maintained in good order, at the appropriate levels and are properly valued and accounted for.
* Contribute to the active and robust management of health, safety and welfare.
* To ensure the image and profile of the company is enhanced in order to maximise commercial exposure, thereby maximising income opportunities

Main Purpose of job:

* To contribute to the organisational business strategy, with overall accountability in leading and developing Security function.
* To ensure that all business units within the post holder's remit are developed and operated in a safe, legally compliant, ethical, and profitable manner.
* To ensure the Security Department is compliant with all relevant statutory provisions.
* To expand existing contracts and exceed client requirements, through partnership and service delivery.
* To grow and develop their client base, improving product sales and our market share.
* To manage and closely monitor income and expenditure levels against budgets.
* To monitor market trends and identify new products and services to develop the clients security offering.
* To be an ambassador for our client. Proactively assisting in the transformation of the business focusing on efficiencies, people development, and market share growth.
* To develop and deliver a high calibre delivery model with a focus on excellent customer service.

The Person

* Experience of managing staff at different levels
* Experience of managing a dispersed or mobile workforce.
* Experience of leading and developing a Security function.
* Implemented service improvements through the effective management of change
* Experience of dealing with trade union representatives.
* Experience of leading contract tenders.
* Able to monitor income and expenditure levels against budgets
* Strong leadership skills and a commitment to building a strongly collegiate, inclusive and supportive business culture.
* Ability to construct, effectively monitor and manage budgets and the capacity to exercise strong cost- control.
* Customer focussed and performance driven.
* Ability to recognise opportunities to improve business processes and to implement those improvements.
* Ability to thoroughly scope and plan developments in a timely manner to meet future needs around business growth.
* Competent in IT Skills with a working knowledge and application of all MS Office packages
* Recognised and relevant Security Certification
* NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety (Desirable).
* IOSH Managing Safety (Desirable)
* Being a Leader and ambassador of the business

* Excellent written and verbal Communication skills
* Full driving licence.
