The Role:
• General machine shop activities to include:-
• Operation of Band/Bar saws, Pillar drills and Guillotine, etc.
• Milling / Conventional Turning
• CNC Milling / Turning
• Milling and Turning equipment operation
• Operation of Band/Bar saws and Guillotine
• Manufacture of close tolerance parts using Conventional mills and lathes
• Programming and Operation of CNC Mills to produce close tolerance parts
• Machine to drawing requirements under own supervision

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• City & Guilds Machining
• Level 2 Diplomas in Mech/Manu Engineering
• level 3 Engineering Machine Tool Setting
• Able to read /manufacture to engineering drawings
• Capable of achieving consistent results to very tight tolerance
• Fully conversant with Health & Safety, COSHH and IOSHH.
• Flexible: - Prepared to work extended hours and shift at minimum notice.
• Experience working in Aerospace environment using aerospace approved methods to very tight tolerances

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Programming / Operation of CNC lathes / Mills using Heidenhain TNC426 controller
• Fully trained and able to Program and Operate Spark / Wire erosion equipment.
• Fully Trained and Qualified using Grinding wheels
