The development of real time systems for use within the Commercial Vehicle Electronic Control Systems, controlling diesel fuel injection equipment and other integrated engine and vehicle electronic systems.



Requirements:

1 Systems Design
2 Capture, analysis and implementation of customer requirements
3 Definition and review of system requirements (including sensor/actuators and control strategies meeting industrial standards and legislative requirements.
4 Model the system and control implementations to verify the designed solutions to the requirements.
5 Produce executable specifications using Mathworks/Matlab toolsets.
6 Produce and review implementation specifications that will be used by the Software Engineering team to produce the required software solutions.
7 Perform safety analyses’ (hazard analysis, safety testing, FMEA etc).
8 Engage with the engineering teams to ensure the maximum reuse of ideas, concepts and strategies
9 Work with hardware teams to cascade current and future requirements into future hardware programs



Testing

1 Design and review system level test documentation
2 Support system level functional testing and validation
3 Participate in software debug and analysis
4 Support production test and validation

Customer Support

1 Visit customer sites when necessary
2 Commission features / engines with the customer
3 Tune/Support tuning of data on engine/vehicle
4 Support customer’s engine and vehicle testing.



Qualification and Experience:

Requirements

1 Educated to degree level
2 Experience in embedded applications/Systems
3 Experience of developing real time systems (ideally with diesel applications & associated fuel injection equipment)
4 Good working knowledge of Matlab, Simulink and Stateflow
5 Configuration management experience (preferably Clearcase)
6 CAN/CANalyzer, J1939, KWP/KWP2000, UDS and Diagnostics usage and protocols
7 Whitebox/Blackbox, Functional and regression testing/validation
8 Strong process discipline
9 Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK

3 PRQA(QAC), Clearquest, GNU toolchain
4 On and Off shore Team Leading Experience
