The Role:
Leading the SCM Quality Team consisting of Production Quality Engineers & Supplier Quality Engineers over both sites.
To ensure that product and service quality delivered to customers meets their required standards.
To deliver business process improvements resulting in better operational effectiveness, efficiency, economies and product quality.
Support supplier selection, validation and development
Supplier Performance Management
Support SCM during the NPI process (PPAP)

Review and improve manufacturing processes through regular internal Audits and value stream analyses
 Provide support to manufacturing engineering in troubleshooting and product improvement initiatives
 Coordinate improvement action programs resulting from the internal Audits
 Support product development process and the delivery of effective NPI
 Collection and analyses of manufacturing KPI Metrics and as a result leading the improvement activities
 Evaluate the relevance and benefits of industry best practice and support their implementation
 Participate and coordinate business excellence projects
 Comply with all EH&S legislation and company procedures
 Support procurement in development of effective supplier management systems
 Perform Regular VDA6.3 Audits to suppliers
 Supplier Qualification (based on VDA6.3)
 Participate on Quarterly Business Review Meetings with key suppliers (Organized by GP)
 Supplier Risk Mapping and CI
 Collection of Supplier KPI metrics
 Supplier Continual Improvement Plan
 EHS / CSR / Business Continuity Assessment
 Supplier Potential Analysis

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Specific detailed knowledge of policies relevant to Quality covering but not limited to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, OHSAS 18001, Codes of practice and other industry specific regulations and standards.
 Continuous Improvement and breakthrough project experience (Black Belt or equivalent)
 Trained practitioner of Quality tools & techniques within the SCM
 Certified auditor desirable

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Technology education background with Master degree preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Physics, Material Science or Chemistry.
 Trained practitioner of Lean Six sigma tools (e.g. Value Stream Mapping & PFMEA) and Supplier Quality assurance tools (e.g. PPAP)
 3-5 year experience in a management role, proven track record of successfully implementation of Quality Standards.
 Automotive background is a plus
 Flexible travel between the sites in UK
