We are currently looking for an Engineering Geologist to work on major rail infrastructure schemes for a leading consultancy being based within the York region.  This is a great opportunity to join a team which is about 15 engineers strong offering various geotechnical engineers, ground engineers and geologist, so a great experience pool to develop your Engineering skills. 

Within the position you will have the opportunity to undertake the Lead Engineering duties and assist the Senior Geologist in work winning and developing new clients. You will also be at the full front on the technical aspects of the projects, which can include the production of Ground Investigation Reports, for civil design schemes/geo-environmental. 

This would be an ideal position for an experienced Graduate or Assistant Engineer whom has over 3 years of experience under their belt looking to take that next step up into an Engineer position. 

Job Requirements
  • Competent in the production of ground models, with experience in producing 3D geological ground models beneficial. Experience in the use of Holebase SI beneficial.
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Understanding of ground engineering and geotechnical/geo-environmental risks
  • Aspiring to become a chartered geologist.
  • 3+ years relevant experiences in ground investigation within a ground investigation contracting organisation, covering infrastructure and industrial clients, with an aspiration for consultancy work
