These posts will support the translation of our clients' objectives into asset–related decisions, plans and activities by supporting the implementation of a risk based approach. The key responsibilities, to be assigned based on the successful candidates experience, include:

* Develop tools to centralise and present strategic asset information
* Undertake site surveys / facilitate workshops to elicit key information
* Assess the condition and performance of assets and undertake analysis to forecast asset deterioration
* Improve the understanding between asset intervention through capital investment or operational maintenance, and asset performance and condition
* Undertake zonal risk assessments and asset optimisation through hydraulic modeling and analysis
* Undertake hydraulic model construction and maintenance
* Support the development of longer term strategic investment plans
* Seek opportunities to improve the performance of the assets and the system as a whole

The main focus of the role will be around understanding and quantifying the needs of our clients' overground assets. There is a degree of statistical modelling required, but also good comms skills to carry out risk capture/elicitation.

To be successful in both these roles you must be IT literate including MS Excel/ Access, GIS, have an open and analytical mind as well as a flexible approach to work. For at least one of the roles hydraulic modeling experience is required. You must also possess a full valid driving licence as the roles include field based work. The majority of the work will be based in the West Midlands region. Previous water industry experience is desirable but not essential.
