The Job:

Our client is committed to career progression and will offer focused training and development to the right candidate. This is a fast paced role and the successful candidate must have previous experience as a Project Manager.

This is a varied role and duties will include the oversee of a variety of sectors including Sub Contractors, Customer Service, Health and Safety, Cost Recovery, Staff Management and Planning/Monitoring. The role is likely to include FEED and EPC projects.


* Design and analysis of a variety of heat exchangers, fabrications and pressure vessels in accordance with PD5500, ASME, PED and TEMA
* Support the delivery of project related documents, including supplier designed packages, datasheets, bid tabulations and material requisitions.
* Manage contracts within the industrial chemical / petro chemical industries, and assist in the development of the business.
* Oversee the running of all aspects of allocated fabrication / re-tube repair contracts on a daily basis
* Keep and maintain full documentation to ensure that good business practice is achieved and that the Company’s contractual and corporate responsibilities are discharged
* Estimate and form commercial information for submission to the Sales Director, liaising with Clients, Suppliers and the office team
* Requirements capture, mechanical and thermal analysis and design
* Implementation of designs including appropriate hardware selection, material validations, test planning and verifications on designs
* Interfacing with Customers and supporting the commercial team to win bids with Clients followed by supporting production, deliver said projects in full, to budget and on time
* Liaise with design engineers to produce working drawings and production schedules, interrogate sub-contracted designs and submissions
* Produce Health and Safety Plan for allocated projects to include, but not limited to, Construction Method Statements, Risk Assessment Guidelines and COSHH Assessments etc
* Drawings/drawing management recorded correctly
* Update construction drawings/schedule as necessary and issue to the appropriate department
* Lead the development of a successful commercial business through personal endeavour and action


* Degree in Engineering or Physics
* Experience in Mechanical or Thermal Design and Analysis
* Experience in Process industries such as oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical, water etc
* Experience of steam generation, steam turbine, steam distribution systems, vessel and high temperature/pressure processes and material selection would also be useful.
* Specific experience in technical areas such as process packages, heat exchangers, cryogenic equipment, boiler and steam systems would be beneficial.
* Experience in contract engineering, design and management experience
