You will be responsible for the model analysis of generator systems, including prediction / simulation of rigid body and elastic modes via FEA. You will be expected to be capable of analysing the generator mounting and layout designs including AVM, coupling selection and torsional vibration analysis.

It will be expected that you are conversant with ISO 8528 mainly because you will be responsible for the development and validation of future models and procedures to cascade the analysis principles and approach down through the engineering team.

As an engineer you will have extensive experience using relevant tools and analysis developing the skills and capabilities described above. you will be fully qualified, seasoned professional engineer who has sufficient understanding of engineering fundamentals to be able to resolve a variety of issues/problems. You will have experience of a design/development role in a commercially demanding design of mechanical or electrical products and systems.

Ideally you will be a masters qualified individual who has experience in providing detailed analysis and engineering support in a heavy industrial or marine environment.
