My client, a small Geotechnical and Contaminated Land consultancy are searching for a talented Laboratory Manager to join their friendly Reading based office.

Candidates are required to have:

* A BSc in Geology or relevant degree (MSc preferred)
* 1+ year of UKAS Laboratory experience
* Competency with British Standards (BS:5930)
* An ability to work well under time constraints
* Experience with KeyLab

A successful candidate will have the opportunity to complete:

* Quick undrained triaxials (single & multistage) (U100s and U38s)
* Moisture Contents
* Atterbergs (1 point & 4 point)
* PSD
* Hydrometers
* Sulfates (Ion Exchange and Gravimetric)
* Organics
* Oedometer (Consolidation & Heave)
* Permeability (Rowe Cell)
* Chlorides
* Plus other tests occasionally

A successful candidate will join a highly motivated team where the working environment is relaxed but professional and full of energy. Projects will largely consist of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental site investigation across a variety of sectors, from private land owners to national housing developers. A Geotechnical background will be beneficial to a candidate.
