You will be involved in developing and driving a quality focused culture across the company this includes, making sure the company is delivering continuous improvements in all the company processes, complainant with the company standards with maximum involvement of all employers, this will lead to increased levels of productivity and delivery of customer values this will make sure the company achieve the business objectives.

The key duties of the role will include –

* Developing and implementing the company’s vision, strategy and objections, based on an evaluation of the challenges faced by the company.
* Be involved in proactive resource management of all worldwide quality staffing needs, making sure the right skills and knowledge are being brought into the business so the department can continue to grow and achieve the business targets,
* You have 5 directs reports in UK quality team, you will be responsible to apply the most appropriate management style to achieve the peak performance and positive team spirit, that will involve regular constructive feedback and recognition of well performed team members.
* Monitor and report against internal quality standards KPI metrics in engineering, manufacturing, sales and business support functions. Also identifying and drive measurable process improvements in conjunction with the board and other quality team members to show the top 10 business processes proven to directly impact successful achievements.
* To develop and implement an integrated Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) system to deliver customer focussed data e.g. product performance/reliability trends etc which will directly impact the improvement of commercial advantage.

* To ensure Calibration, inspection (Mech, Elec and finished goods) and observation report processes and operating effectively.
* To agree annual budgets for the UK Quality Department including CAPEX, resource and external training spend and to undertake rigorous cost centre management, accurately allocating costs, tracking spend and initiating actions to address variances where required.
* To ensure all internal and external auditing processes and systems are reviewed for effectiveness, reports and actions addressed in order to fulfil statutory obligations and customer needs this includes customer audits and supplier audits.

Scope of the role include –

5 direct reports in the UK Quality team

Budget Responsibility of approximately £300,000 for QA/QC in UK

UK based role with some international travel to visit other company in Houston, Singapore and Brazil.

Relevant qualifications need to include –

* Degree qualified in Technical/Engineering/Science discipline
* Quality-related professional qualification e.g. Chartered Quality Institute
* Six Sigma Black Belt
* Project Management

Experience needed-

This person would need to have operational experience in hands on quality roles, knowledge of engineering designs and development, customer support, manufacturing operations and ISO9001 accreditation.

Have been involved with culture change through business process improvement and multi –disciplinary project team leadership. Dealing with KPI development and communications.

Proven Leadership abilities to adapt to different management style and able to inspire and motivate a managed quality team and wider global organisation.

Excellent excel knowledge- Medium to advanced

Personal Factors –

The person needs to have a hands on pragmatic approach, excellent communication skills, good influence and persuasion skills, confident in presenting to board level colleagues and good analysis and critical evaluation.
