Manufacturing Engineer.



My client is part of a well-established global company with an annual turnover of £120M. Their UK business unit will very soon be relocating to a brand new purpose built facility where they will carry out Research, Design, Development and Manufacturing of Automotive Driveline products



This will be a permanent role based in Redditch offering a salary of £28,000-£34,000



You will have experience of working within a manufacturing unit using CNC machinery and other duties may include





* Generate and maintain CNC Programmes.
* Monitor CNC cell performance week by week via OEE performance metrics and initiate appropriate solutions.
* CNC machine procurement.
* Create and maintain process documentation for CNC cells, including but not limited to tooling sheets, Work instructions, change over etc. to ISO9000/TS16949 requirements.
* Assist Quality department in control plan creation and input regards gauge suitability.
* Tooling trials.

* Conduct frequent cycle time studies by recording hourly outputs.
* Be familiar with 3D CAD packages for drafting simple fixtures, Solid works experience would be desirable.
* Identify and resolve production bottlenecks.
* Introduce new technology in order to improve productivity.
* Develop/control /manage / monitor production processes.
* Introduce material / labour saving initiatives (Value Engineering).
* Identify and implement process improvements in order to achieve cost reductions

Knowledge, Experience & Education

* CNC Machinery
* Vertical machining centres and Lathes
* Manufacturing Techniques
* Commercial Vehicle, Automotive, or related product, mechanical design
* Understanding of required quality levels for this type of business
* Develop, manage & monitor production process
* 3D CAD (preferably Solid-Edge) design experience
* HNC or Degree in an engineering discipline.
* Process improvements
* Process Documentation
