The Company:
A pioneering technology leader offering infrastructure, consultancy and software solutions to the energy industry.

The Role:
Seeking a determined internal sales person to support external consultants and sales teams in selling an interesting and complex portfolio of products across Europe. You will be selling energy market modelling software, forecasting reports, and consulting activities that help energy firms plan, forecast, simulate and operate their assets.

The role will initially be covering the European market but will likely extend to include the rest of the EMEA region. The company has a reputation for developing their talent and there are excellent international opportunities for progression with offices in more than 100 countries.

The market development representative will work closely with both product development to learn the complex products and marketing to conduct targeted lead generation campaigns and showcase their messages to the market. You will be responsible for researching the market to generate new leads and leveraging the company’s reputation and contacts within the industry to qualify, nurture and convert warm leads and maintain and expand the database of prospects.

Main accountabilities of the role:
• Maintain a high-level solution expertise and competitive intelligence
• Identify decision makers amongst the targeted leads in order to initiate the sales process.
• Develop sales plans in order to achieve individual and company goals
• Submit accurate and complete information in
• Provide regular updates to management regarding opportunities, trends and challenges
• Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly Pipeline quota objectives
• Drive attendance to marketing events, conduct follow-ups, respond to enquiries from call, websites and marketing activities
• Schedule demos and meetings to assist sales process

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• 2 years of experience in a sales prospecting role, supporting an outside sales team preferred
• Experience in driving new leads and assisting sales growth
• Experienced in understanding of technical concepts and technology, and communicating its value proposition.
• Experience in prospecting via phone and email
• Ability to establish rapport at multiple levels of decision makers
• Experience understanding and managing sales cycles
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Experience in the “power” or “gas” industry
• European language skills
• Digital marketing
