The Company:
Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide.

The Role:
Our client requires an Events Coordinator to manage organisation of an annual programme of Seminars, Conferences, Breakfast Briefings, Workshops, Roadshows and Lunchtime Forums, which support external promotion of its core services and ensure its continuation as a thought leader in the technical disciplines and geographical locations that it targets. It is looking for an highly organised individual that is capable of coordinating delivery of the programme of events, taking each event from a concept through to on the day delivery and post event review. Key activities include:

• Running kickoff and interim progress meetings to drive the organisation of each event. Running these meetings to an agenda, and distributing and managing timely closeout of actions agreed.
• Liaising with external venues regarding quotes, booking and logistics.
• Taking delegate bookings and liaising with interested parties from client organisations to maximise attendance.
• Ensuring timely advertisement of events by owning the collection of required content including event overview, speakers, presentation titles and synopses and liaising with other members of the Marketing Team to ensure events are advertised via appropriate platforms.
• Regular tracking and reporting to the Marketing Manager on the progress of each event vs key milestones.
• Budget / cost management.
• Attending some of the events to manage logistics on the day, including some pre-event networking dinners.
• Ensuring feedback is requested and learning captured and communicated, as part of continuous improvement.

Some travel across the UK is required as part of this role, including overnight stays. Locations of travel can include London, Edinburgh and Manchester.

Key required competencies for this role include:
- Ability to manage your own time and workload effectively.
- Ability to manage several work fronts at one time.
- Ability to engage and communicate effectively internally with key stakeholders and externally with clients.

Previous experience of managing organisation of events is highly desirable. Project planning and Microsoft office skills are required.
